Bug Fix:

Saving a theme style causing Seth to Lock.

The Theme List could end up with blank lines between theme listing after dragging.
I’ve decided to remove the expanding list and dragging features. This also remedies a lag problem which could cause the Theme List to lock.
This feature may come back in a later version.

Script Editor Themer (Seth)
V 2.0 Release Date 11/04/2015

PLEASE READ FIRST

This version is NOT compatible with LiveCode Community version as it contains password protected stacks.

A Community version is being investigated.

Seth V2.0 has been tested on LiveCode version from V6.6.5 to V8.0 DP1 on Windows 7 and 8, Mac Mavericks and Yosemite, and Linux Mint.

New:

Seth V2.0 has no installer..bye bye permission problems..hello Yosemite!

Seth V2.0 now is a true plugin and will now sit in your user plugins directory.

Opening Seth automatically inserts scripts and changes preference settings in the LiveCode IDE as required to allow Seth to work. When Seth is shut down these changes are all reverted to how they were before Seth was opened.

The Theme engine has been re written and is now much faster and more stable than the V1 series.

Themes can be created as a preview before saving.

Color elements can be renamed for each theme, so instead of say “class error none” (as defined by LiveCode) you could rename this to for example “My Big Red Error”

Themes can be reordered via drag & drop in the theme selector so that the themes you use the most can be moved to the top of the list for example.

The debug editor can have it’s own theme background color.

Fonts, styles and font weight can be changed for each theme element.

Seth can be shrunk to the size of the 2108 logo and moved out of your design space to give you more room for coding.

V 1.2 Release Date 15/01/2015
release notes ver 1 15/01/2015

PLEASE READ FIRST

This version is NOT compatible with LiveCode Community version as it contains password protected stacks. A Community version is being investigated.

Please make sure you have admin rights before installing/uninstalling.

New: A facility to report issues and add feature requests has been added to the Tools section.
This sends the report to the public issue tracker page at 2108.co.uk/issue-tracker/

Enhancement: The installer now has an Update option which will just update Seth but not do all the code insertion into the LiveCode IDE scripts of the full install.

Bug Fix: Top menu logic corrected.

This version has been tested with
LC 6.7 and 7.0 Commercial versions
Windows 7 and 8.1
OSX Mavericks
Linux Mint 17 Cinnamon 32bit (added 12/12/2014)

Extensive testing has been done but if you do experience problems in the installer the inbuilt error reporter places info onto the clipboard, so before closing please do a paste into a text editor and send the report along with your OS and LC version details to support@2108.co.uk

If a new version is available you will be promoted to download.

IMPORTANT

During install copies of stack revNewScriptEditor and revPreferencesGUI
(Copy of revNewScriptEditor and Copy of revPreferencesGUI) are made and stored as subtacks to the original versions.

On uninstall these are used to reset the original revNewScriptEditor and revPreferencesGUI stacks.

The copies are then renamed to (Backup of revNewScriptEditor and Backup of revPreferencesGUI) and are not removed. this provides you with an extra copy of the files..just in case.

I would for extra precaution advise that before installing you make a backup of the revNewScriptEditor and revPreferencesGUI stacks.

As always feedback is very welcome.
